At a National Level
Joint Resolution N° 1772/2009, 195/2009 and 375/2009 of the Ministry of Federal Planning, Public Investment and Services; the Ministry of the Economy and Public Finance; and the Ministry of Production" (published in the Official Gazette on 09/21/2009)
Approves the "Regulation for the Promotion of Investment Projects of Infrastructure Works" and the "Regulation of the Investments Promotion Regime on New Capital Goods." Including exploration and/or exploitation mining activities among the projects enabled to request access to the benefit of an anticipated refund of Value Added Tax and of an accelerated amortization of the Income Tax, according to the regime established in Law N° 26,360 and Decree N° 726/2009. Province of Mendoza
Municipal Ordinance N° 5,766/09 of the Municipality of Godoy Cruz, enacted on 09/08/2009 (published in the Official Gazette on 10/29/2009) 
Prohibits the use of chemical substances such as cyanide, mercury, sulfuric acid and other similar products, used in mining processes such as prospection, exploration, exploitation and/or industrialization of minerals obtained through extraction methods, in the territory and/or the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Godoy Cruz.  

Province of Neuquén
Municipal Ordinance 2390/2009 of the Municipality of Chos Malal, enacted on 10/07/2009 
Prohibits open pit mining and the use of "chemical substances which entail a risk for the population' health and which affect natural resources" in the territory of the Municipality of Chos Malal (Province of Neuquén). 
 
Province of Tucumán
Decree N° 3,165/2009 of the Executive Branch of the Province of Tucumán (published in the Official Gazette on 10/14/2009) 
The decree explains that the derogation of stamp tax established in article 1 of Law N° 6,512 includes active financial operations and their complements, executed by the Popular Savings Account of the Province of Tucumán and by financial entities under the regime of Law N° 21,523, within the regular operation of credit lines approved by said institutions, destined exclusively and specifically to finance productive activities of the agricultural, industrial, mining and construction sectors, developed in the province of Tucumán by subjects registered due to said activities in the Turnover Tax. On the other hand, the decree establishes that the exemption of stamp tax (regarding insurance operations) corresponds to the contracts which cover risks of activities held in the agricultural, industrial, mining and construction sectors.
