Mining exportations grew 11.7% during last year in comparison with the previous year, rising to US$ 2,851 million, according to a report of the Sectorial Economic Investigations (SEI) consultant. According to the consultant, foreign sales increased by 1.1 %. "In 2009, mining exportations reached a new record for the ninth year in a row", declared SEI, specifying that the higher increase was in gold and silver exportations.
