Labor Modernization Law Enters into Force

The Labor Modernization Law 27802 was published in the Official Gazette on March 6 2026. Its provisions—except for those whose entry into force was deferred until January 2027 and 2028–will become effective as of its publication.

This Law is the most comprehensive and structural amendment to the labor regime since the enactment of the Argentine Labor Law and its entry into force marks the beginning of a new stage in Argentina’s labor framework. Its practical scope will, in many cases, depend on regulatory implementation and on judicial interpretation.
