Defense of Competition

By means of Resolution 164/2001 - published in the Official Gazette of November 30, 2001 - the Secretary of Competition, Deregulation and Defense of the Consumer approved the Guidelines for the Control of Economic Concentrations. Among other rules, it includes the definition of the relevant market, the definition and identification of the companies operating therein, the methods used for calculating the concentration and market shares, the barriers to enter the relevant market, the consideration of competition represented by imported products, vertical and conglomerate concentrations.
