The Argentine Supreme Court held that the Argentine Tax Authority is entitled to assess the tax obligation of the chairman of a company, as joint and several guarantor, even in a case where there is not yet a final decision in relation with the assessment made to the company, as the company appealed that assessment before the National Tax Court. more

Thesis
We are delighted to inform that Alberto C. Cappagli has defended his PhD Thesis at the Universidad Católica Argentina on April 3, 2014 and obtained an “Outstanding” grade. Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot
Florencia Lebensohn coached and directed the University of Buenos Aires' team at the Open Pre-Moot Competition which took place in Belgrade (Serbia) on April 5-7 and at the XXI Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot held in Vienna (Austria) on April 10-17, 2014. The University of Buenos Aires had its best performance ever in said competition and ranked among the best 16 universities from the almost 300 participants. Due to its outstanding performance, the team received an honorable mention in the “Frédéric Eisemann Awards”.
