ENACOM Repeals Resolutions on Price Regulation
Following the repeal of Decree 690/2020, the new Resolution establishes that increases in retail prices of information and communication technologies are no longer restricted.

On June 27, 2024, the Argentine Communications Agency (ENACOM) published Resolution 13/2024 in the Official Gazette, repealing Resolution ENACOM 1466/2020 and subsequent amending resolutions (27/2021, 28/2021, 203/2021, 204/2021, 862/2021, 2187/2021, 725/2022, 1754/2022, 2393/2022, 2494/2022, and 557/2023).
Resolution 1466/2020, issued under Decree 690/2020, had restricted the increases in retail prices for Information and Communications Technology Services (ICT Services) licensees regarding Internet Access; subscription to broadcasting services via physical, radioelectric, or satellite links; landline telephone; and mobile communications services.
Resolution 13/2024 follows Decree 302/2024, which repealed DNU 690/20. DNU 690/20, among other provisions, had declared that ICT Services and access to telecommunications networks between ICT Services licensees were essential public services.
