Provincial Registry of Cleaning Companies

By Decree No. 1737/2011 the Province of Buenos Aires has regulated Law No. 13,880 creating the Provincial Registry of Cleaning Companies, which all persons or companies dedicated to the provision of cleaning services to third parties in the geographical area of Buenos Aires Province must adhere to.

The companies that fulfill these conditions must be registered in the Provincial Registry of Cleaning Services and ask for renewal every 6 months. It also orders that these companies must make a guaranty deposit to the enforcement authority -the Provincial Labor Ministry- in Argentine bonds or stocks, valued in 50 times the official minimum wage, and one official minimum wage per each worker. This amount will be refunded in the event of the activities’ termination.

 The Decree also dictates that persons or companies, public or private, that are located in the geographical area of the Province of Buenos Aires, only can contract the provision of cleaning services among the companies enrolled in that registry.
 
In the event of the breach of any of the regulations penalties from pecuniary penalties to the cancellation of permission in the most severe cases can be applied.
