Through Resolution 299, issued on April 21, 2025, the Public Registry of Commerce of the Province of Buenos Aires (DPPJ) established that corporations (of any kind), partnerships limited by shares, and the simplified joint stock companies under their supervision cannot pay dividends or any type of compensation to board members or auditors if those individuals are listed in the Province of Buenos Aires Registry of Child Support Debtors.

Companies may also not pay shareholders or partners included in that registry:

  • Distribution of retained earnings as shown in the equity section of their financial statements.
  • Voluntary return of capital.
  • Distribution of share premium balances.
  • Distribution of liquidation proceeds.
  • Repayment of equity participation.

The DPPJ may also sanction companies violating these rules, following article 302 of the Argentine Companies Law (Law 19550) and article 7 of Decree-Law 8671/1976, besides taking other measures allowed under article 303 of the same law.
