Antidumping Proceedings – polyester resins from Brazil

Through Resolution 1121/2024, the Ministry of Economy opened a sunset review due to the expiration of the term of the antidumping measures on exports from Brazil to Argentina of “unsaturated, alkyd, oil-free polyester resins.”

The previous Resolution 1272/2019 of the former Ministry of Production and Labor had established an anti-dumping duty of 12.22% for a term of 5 years for the exports to Argentina of this product.

The goods involved are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (NCM) 3907.91.00.

The company POLIRESINAS SAN LUIS SA requested the opening of the sunset review.

So far, authorities have determined the inexistence of a dumping margin for exports from Brazil to Argentina. Nevertheless, the authorities estimated a dumping margin of 20.98%, considering reference exports to Chile as a third market.

The Resolution establishes that the review will be carried out without applying antidumping measures.
