Antidumping Proceedings – Footwear from China

The Ministry of Productive Development, by Resolution N° 734/2020, opened the review due to the expiration of the term and change of circumstances of the antidumping measure provided by Resolution N° 1,859 dated December 3, 2015 from the former Ministry of Economy and Public Finance, on exports to Argentina of footwear, made with the upper part of natural and/or synthetic material and the lower part of natural and/or synthetic material, aimed at the male, female or child consumer and intended for daily, social or sports use, excluding orthopedic footwear, classified outside the Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes 6401 to 6405, and footwear for skiing and snowboarding, classified in the N.C.M. 6402.12 and 6403.12, from China, classified under N.C.M 6401.10.00, 6401.92.00, 6401.99.10, 6401.99.90, 6402.19.00, 6402.20.00, 6402.91.10, 6402.91.90, 6402.99.10, 6402.99.90, 6403.19.00, 6403.20.00, 6403.40.00, 6403.51.10, 6403.51.90, 6403.59.10, 6403.59.90, 6403.91.10, 6403.91.90, 6403.99.10, 6403.99.90, 6404.11.00, 6404.19.00, 6404.20.00, 6405.10.10, 6405.10.20, 6405.10.90, 6405.20.00 and 6405.90.00, while keeping the current antidumping measures until the completion of the review.
The Chamber of the Footwear Industry requested the opening of the review process of the antidumping measure.
The authorities determined a presumptive dumping margin for China of 2.97% for exports to Argentina and of 242.97% for exports to third countries.
