Antidumping Proceedings – Electric water heaters from China

The Ministry of Productive Development, by Resolution No. 5/2021, opened an antidumping investigation on exports to Argentina of electric water heaters, of storage type, with a capacity higher than or equal to 20 liters but lower than or equal to 150 liters, from China and classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (NMC) 8516.10.00.

The Chamber of Manufacturers of Gas Appliances (Cámara Argentina de Fabricantes de Artefactos de Gas – CAFAGAS) and the companies RHEEM S.A., ESKABE S.A., ROTOPLAS S.A. and LONGVIE S.A. requested the opening of the antidumping investigation.

The authorities determined a presumptive dumping margin of 219.08% for China.
