Antidumping Proceedings – Bicycles from China and Chinese Taipei

The Ministry of Productive Development, by Resolution N° 205/2020, opened the review due to the expiration of the term and change of circumstances of the antidumping measure provided by Resolution N° 328 dated May 12, 2015 from the former Ministry of Economy and Public Finance, on exports to Argentina of bicycles tire size 10, 12, 16, 20 and 24 without gear shifter, tire size 24 with gear shifter, tire size 26 without gear shifter and tire size 26 with gear shifter, from China and Chinese Taipei, and bicycles tire size 14, from China, classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (N.C.M) 8712.00.10., while keeping the current antidumping measures until the completion of the review.

The INDUSTRIAL CHAMBER OF MOTORCYCLES, BICYCLES, VEHICLES AND RELATED PRODUCTS (CIMBRA) and the companies OLMO BIKES S.A., BICICLETAS FUTURA S.R.L., RODABER S.A., INDUSTRIAS KMG S.A. and ZELARAYAN JUAN CARLOS requested the opening of the review process of the antidumping measure.

The authorities determined a presumptive dumping margin of 66% for China and 314% for Chinese Taipei.
