Antidumping Proceedings – Motorcycle Dampers from China

Through Resolution 181/2024, the Ministry of Economy opened a sunset review due to the expiration of the term of the antidumping measures on exports from China to Argentina.
The goods involved are “dampers, including spring-shock absorber configuration, forming a single body, of the types used on motorcycles (including mopeds), and velocipedes equipped with an auxiliary engine, with or without sidecar,” classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes (NCM) 8714.10.00 and 8714.99.90.
It was the company CHIAPERO Y ASOC. SRL that requested the opening of the sunset review.
So far, authorities have determined the inexistence of a dumping margin in exports from China to Argentina. Nevertheless, the authorities estimated a dumping margin of 143,56%, considering exports to Uruguay as a third market country.
The resolution keeps current antidumping measures in force until the sunset review ends.
