Antidumping Proceedings – Cast Iron Pipe Fittings

The Ministry of Productive Development (by Resolution No. 333/2022) opened a sunset review after the expiration of the antidumping measures imposed on exports to Argentina from Brazil and China of “malleable cast iron pipe fittings, including nodular cast iron pipe fittings, excluding those with an inside diameter greater than or equal to 600 millimeters”. These goods are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes (N.C.M.) 7307.19.10 and 7307.19.90.

The company FUNDICIONES SAN JUSTO S. A. (formerly, “DEMA S. A.”) requested the opening of the sunset review.

So far, the authorities have determined dumping margins of: (i) 344.70% for Brazil, considering total exports from Brazil to Perú; and (ii) 52.84% for China, considering total exports from China to Perú.

The Resolution keeps current antidumping measures in force until the sunset review is completed.
