New Sign Template to Identify Video Surveillance Areas Approved

Through Resolution 38/2024, the Agency of Access to Public Information approved the new template to be used by those data controllers who collect digital images. With this template, data controllers would comply with their duty to provide information regarding the means through which data subjects can exercise their rights.

The sign template was originally approved through Resolution 10/2015 of the Federal Directorate of Personal Data Protection and later modified by the Agency of Access to Public Information through Resolution 15/2018.

The changes to the sign include the recognition of data subjects' right to file a complaint before the Agency of Access to Public Information if the data controller fails to reply to the subject’s request to access data, or if such reply is insufficient.
