The City of Buenos Aires Joins the Ibero-American Data Protection Network

The Ibero-American Data Protection Network (IDPN) is a forum  integrating several actors from both the public and private sectors that develops initiatives and projects related to personal data protection.

The IDPN is composed of members and observers. Its members include the Mexico City Institute for Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data, the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and the Argentine Access to Public Information Agency. Observers include the Organization of American States, the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights, and the Human Rights Ombudsman's Office of Guatemala, among others.

Recently, the City of Buenos Aires, through the Undersecretariat of Evidence-Based Public Policies of the Secretariat of Innovation and Digital Transformation, joined the IDPN as an observer. The participation of the City in the IDPN will foster the exchange of information, experiences, and knowledge on data protection along with the other members and observers which, in turn, will promote the development of policies aimed at guaranteeing the privacy of individuals and the protection of their personal data.
