Gustavo Giay appointed Counsel of the International Trademark Association (INTA)

At the INTA Board meeting on November 14, 2023, in Houston, USA, our partner Gustavo Giay was appointed Counsel of the Association, a position he will hold from January 1, 2024.

Gustavo Giay appointed Counsel of the International Trademark Association (INTA)

The Counsel serves as the Association's pro bono legal advisor and is responsible for various functions, including advising the Chief Executive Officer and the President of INTA on legal, governance, and political matters. Additionally, if necessary, they coordinate the work of law firms assisting the Association. The Counsel must participate in Board and Executive Committee meetings, providing advice and opinions on matters of interest to the Association.

 

Gustavo Giay is the first Latin American lawyer to hold this position. He was a member of the INTA Board and its Executive Committee between 2013 and 2015 and also chaired several working committees.
