Specific Multisensory and Calming Spaces
The City of Buenos Aires is promoting the creation of specific spaces for students with neurodivergences.

By means of Law 6798, published in the Official Gazette on January 27, 2025, the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires promoted the development of specific multisensory and calming spaces within educational institutions. These spaces will be a tool to promote the comprehensive wellbeing of students with neurodivergences in situations in which they need to use them during the school day.
The Law also establishes that the spaces will be designed and equipped with elements that allow for emotional regulation and sensory calming in students who need specific attention at specific times during their school day. This would favor positive stimulation in a suitable environment, so that they can carry on with their school activities.
The Law will be applied gradually according to the needs, evaluation, and structural possibilities of the educational institutions. It will be applied at kindergartner and elementary levels, and in special education schools, whether they are part of public or private institutions.
