The Argentine Central Bank Modified the Foreign Exchange Regulations Applicable to Services to Non-Residents
The modification exempts payments for certain services rendered abroad from mandatory repatriation through the foreign exchange market, thus allowing a differential exchange rate for certain transactions.

Through Communication “A” 7630, the Argentine Central Bank (BCRA) modified the foreign exchange regulations, establishing exceptions to the mandatory payment of service exports collection, if they are paid within 5 business days as of the date of their collection or of crediting to foreign accounts.
The exceptions provided in the Communication are:
- Purchases made by non-residents using debit, credit, purchase, or prepaid cards issued abroad.
- Charges for any type of tourist service in the country hired by non-residents.
- Charges for transportation services of non-resident passengers within the country.
