Maria Morena Echegaray

María Morena Echegaray has been a member of Marval O’Farrell Mairal since 2026. She currently focuses her practice on providing legal advice to mining companies.

She graduated from UCA in 2022, earning her law degree with Honors. During her studies, she participated in research projects and served as an editorial assistant for the legal journal El Derecho.

She later completed a Specialization in Environmental Law at UBA, where she developed her final thesis on greenwashing and corporate sustainability. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Law at Austral University, where she was awarded a merit scholarship for a paper on greenwashing and environmental compliance.

Before joining Marval, she worked for three years in the Energy and Natural Resources Department at Bomchil. Previously, she completed an internship at SLB, a global technology company for the energy industry.

She has published works on environmental law and has participated as a speaker in academic and professional activities related to environmental law. In addition, in 2025 she received first prize in a Podcast Competition organized by UBA’s Environmental Law Center.

She is a Teaching Assistant in the Environmental Law and Natural Resources course at UCA and a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
