Agustina María Ranieri joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2007 and became partner in 2022. She specializes in energy law, banking and finance, and commercial law.

Her practice focuses on advising clients in a wide range of domestic and international transactions, with a strong track record in oil and gas. She has been involved in many transactions in regulatory, contractual, corporate, and financing aspects, as well as in complex international commercial arbitration. She has broad experience in hydrocarbons law, financing, public debt, capital market transactions, debt restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and commercial contract matters. 

Agustina has been recognized as a “Next Generation Partner” by The Legal 500.

Between 2017 and 2018, she worked as an international associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, in New York. Before joining the Marval, she worked at The Walt Disney Company (Latin America) as a lawyer and at Estudio Ranieri as a paralegal.

Agustina graduated law school with honors from the University of Buenos Aires in 2006 and later completed a master’s degree in Economic Analysis of Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, where she studied with a scholarship awarded by the Fundación Carolina. She also completed a postgraduate degree in Oil and Gas Law at the University of Buenos Aires, and a postgraduate degree on the Unified Civil and Commercial Code, also at the University of Buenos Aires.

Agustina has authored many articles on topics in her practice areas published both in local and international specialized journals. She has worked as a teaching assistant in Sociology of Law at the University of Buenos Aires.

She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
