Moolec Science, a leading company in the food-tech sector, acquired 100% of the outstanding stock of ValoraSoy S.A., a medium-size business specialized in texturized soy proteins, for a total of USD 6,000,000 payable in a combination of cash and incentive-based equity.
According to the executives involved in the transaction, the technological combination of both companies will contribute to global food security: Moolec is developing innovative ingredients using highly efficient protein-rich crops to produce proteins like those found in animals. These crops, combined with ValorSoy´s capabilities, produce new and better solutions incorporating the voice of customers in real time and reducing the cost of protein-rich foods with higher levels of functionality and nutrition. The technological innovation this operation enables explains the wide range of media coverage it has received in local and international media.
