Fiscalization of Enological Products and/or Elements
The National Institute of Viticulture (INV) has issued Resolution No. 33/2011, published in the Official Gazette on August 16, 2011, by which INV aims to control the possession and use of enological products and/or elements approved by that institute.
The Resolution establishes that manufacturers, importers, traders and/or distributors of products and/or elements of enological use (such as cleaning products; containers and tops; wood; bleaching agents for must (“mosto”) and wines, among others) for use in wineries, fractionation plants, must factories, sparkling wine factories, etc, must:
- be registered with the department of INV corresponding to the jurisdiction of their premises;
- apply for the approval and registration of all their manufactured, imported, commercialized and/or distributed products and/or elements;
- obtain a Certificate of Free Circulation Analysis issued by INV for their approved products. The certificate will be valid for 360 days.
The product must contain a label including the name of the product, number of registration of the premises, number of the certificate of registration and approval of the products, and number of the Free Circulation Analysis Certificate.
The Resolution also approves new application forms.
