Temporary Export Duty Exemption for Agricultural Products

On September 22, 2025, by means of Decree 682/25, the Federal Executive set a zero-rate export duty on exports of wheat, corn, sunflower, soybean oil, and other agricultural commodities included in the annex of said Decree.

This measure will be in force from September 23 until October 31, 2025, or until registrations of sales for export—known as Export Sales Sworn Statements (Declaracion Jurada de Venta de Exportación or DJVE)—reach an overall amount of USD 7 billion, whichever comes first.

Exporters of these products must repatriate and settle at least 90% of the foreign currency proceeds within a maximum of three business days from filing the DJVE. If they do not comply with this requirement, they will both be applied the original export duty rate prior to Decree 682/25 and be banned from accessing this special exemption again until the situation is rectified.
