Mining in the Province of Entre Ríos rose 400% from 2002 up to present, stated Jorge Tomas, the Provincial Mining Director. In tons, the increase went from 2 to 9 million, implying a value of AR$ 162 million. The activity creates 1,100 direct jobs per year.
