The Supreme Court of Justice of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Notaries Public Association of the Province of Buenos Aires, and the Provincial Directorate of the Property Registry are working together to modernize registry filing and registry-communications processes through digital tools.

Within the framework of an inter-institutional working group, the agencies outlined the development of a platform based on blockchain technology that will enable, in a fully digital manner, court ordered filings and requests submitted by notaries public. The platform aims to ensure the integrity, security, confidentiality, and traceability of the information by storing data in structured formats that facilitate access to and verification of such data.

The initiative is intended to replace traditional methods that, in areas such as property registration, may require weeks or months of manual processing. The incorporation of blockchain as the supporting technology is consistent with the public sector’s growing interest in solutions that ensure the immutability and auditability of public records.

In attendance at the meeting, on behalf of the Supreme Court, were the Secretaries for Planning and for Information Technology, as well as judges from the civil and administrative law benches. The Property Registry and the Notaries Public Association likewise had technical and functional representatives who participated in the session.
