Technological Standards for the National Public Administration are updated

Regulation 1-E/2018 of the National Agency of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Modernization (the “Regulation”) updated Technological Standards for the National Public Administration (the “Standards”), repealing their prior version.

The Regulation establishes that the use of the latest technologies in informatics and communications constitutes an essential tool in the process of modernizing and transforming the State. In that regard, the establishment of standards in the matter provides transparency and equality to the procurement processes required to implement the relevant technologies. Due to the speed of their evolution, these standards require permanent updates, which lead to their periodical revision  to guarantee that their contents reflect the latest technological advances.

Consequently, from its effective date, the National Public Administration agencies must comply with the technical specifications approved in the Regulation in the preparation of the requirement documents for any procurement they may perform in connection with information technologies and associated communications, regardless of the source of the funding.
