The Secretary of Trade, by Resolution N° 258-E/2017, initiated the investigation for alleged dumping in exports to Argentina of phthalic anhydride, from Mexico and Corea classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (N.C.M.) 2917.35.00; and di-2-ethylhexyl orthophthalate, from Corea and Chile classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (N.C.M.) 2917.32.00.

The company Varteco Química Puntana S.A. requested the initiation of the antidumping investigation.

The authorities determined a presumptive dumping margin on imports of phthalic anhydride of 56.73% for México and 28.57% for Corea; and a presumptive dumping margin on imports of di-2-ethylhexyl orthophthalate of 5.71% for Corea and 39.34% for Chile.

La Secretaría de Comercio, mediante la Resolución N° 258-E/2017, declaró procedente la apertura de investigación por presunto dumping en operaciones de exportación hacia la Argentina de anhídrido ftálico, originario de México y Corea, mercadería que clasifica en la posición arancelaria de la Nomenclatura Común del Mercosur (N.C.M.) 2917.35.00; y de ortoftalato de di-2-etilhexilo, originario de Corea y Chile, mercadería que clasifica en la posición arancelaria de la Nomenclatura Común del Mercosur (N.C.M.) 2917.32.00.

La empresa Varteco Química Puntana S.A. solicitó el inicio de la investigación antidumping.
