"Periodic controls in the area of the City of Buenos Aires", published by La Nación on 05/07/2017

The General Direction of Environmental Control periodically monitors the quality of the water of the City of Buenos Aires coasts. Due to the conditions of the quality of waters affected by sewage waste, the National Water Institute (“INA”, after its Spanish acronym) highlights the impossibility of the recreational use of water in the current situation. The President of the Environmental Protection Agency of the City adds that the pollution levels of the coast are due to an increase of the urban population in an infrastructure that requires improvements.

 

"The Ministry of Environment certified the Paraná Delta as a RAMSAR site", published by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development on 05/19/2017

The Federal Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation delivered the certifications that declare the Paraná Delta as a RAMSAR site (area of representative, rare or unique wetlands of international importance for the conservation of biological diversity) to environmental authorities of the Provinces of Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and the National Park Administration.

 

“The first Federal Environmental Monitoring Network of the country was launched”, published by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development on 05/16/2017

The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development presented the Federal Environmental Monitoring Network (the “FEMA” network, after its Spanish acronym), a tool that allows for access to environmental information through an online platform and integrates references of air, water and soil quality from public and private sectors. It was created in a collaborative way, within the framework of a project from the United Nations Development Programme (“PNUD”, after its Spanish acronym).

“Controles periódicos en el área porteña”, publicado por La Nación el 07/05/2017

La Dirección General de Control Ambiental monitorea periódicamente la calidad del agua de las costas de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Debido al estado de la calidad de las aguas afectadas por los residuos cloacales, el Instituto Nacional del Agua (INA), resalta la imposibilidad del uso recreativo del agua en la situación actual. El presidente de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental de la Ciudad agrega que los niveles de contaminación de la costa obedecen a un aumento de la población urbana sobre una infraestructura que requiere de mejoras.

 

“Ambiente certificó al Delta del Paraná como sitio RAMSAR”, publicado por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Nación el 19/05/2017

El Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Nación entregó las certificaciones que declaran al Delta del Paraná como un sitio RAMSAR (zona de humedales representativos, raros o únicos, de importancia internacional para la conservación de la diversidad biológica) a autoridades ambientales de las provincias de Santa Fe, Entre Ríos y de la Administración de Parques Nacionales.

 

“Se lanzó la primera Red Federal de Monitoreo Ambiental del país”, publicado por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Nación el 16/05/2017

El Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Nación presentó la Red Federal de Monitoreo Ambiental (Red FEMA), una herramienta que permite el acceso a la información ambiental a través de una plataforma online y además integra referencias de calidad del aire, agua y suelo, provenientes de los sectores público y privado. Fue creada de manera colaborativa, en el marco de un proyecto del Programas de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD).
